I recently visited Melbourne to attend L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Week with my girl friend. Whether you go for a long or short trip it seems that Melbourne has so much to offer. We took an early flight from Canberra so that we would have time to explore around the city and window shop (of course!). I agree with those that choose Melbourne as their favourite destination. For me, it was impossible not to fall in love with the place. For someone like me who likes taking photograph, it is difficult to stop shooting everywhere as there are so many interesting buildings, and so many great restaurants! My girl friend and I had a nice brekkie in Little Collins Street which reminded me of Paris with its little cafes and shops. When I go to places like Melbourne, New York or Paris, I prefer to walk or use public transport. In Melbourne the public transport is convenient for tourists and you can even rent a bike. Last but not least, of course I can’t forget to mention that we attended Melbourne fashion week – it was the best experience. I had the opportunity to see the collections of some Australian designers such as Carla Zampatti (my fav designer) – her collection is always classic and chic.

Ancora Foundation
I was so pleased to get the opportunity to work with Ancora Foundation last year in Jakarta and to provide them with exclusive photos for their 2012 calendar and brochure. It was such a great experience visiting and photographing a different side of Jakarta. It really opened my eyes and caused me to recognise that so many young kids in Indonesia are still in need of a good education. I was so pleased to see that the Ancora Foundation’s Sekolah Rakyat Program is showing that there are ways to address this problem for Jakarta’s disadvantaged children. (Take a look at http://www.Ancorafoundation.com) Special thanks to Anne Luntungan (www.Anneluntungan.com) who helped me on this project.
