Behind the scene from the Ylabel Photo shoot

During the shoot for the Ylabel’s Collection at Anyer and Carita beach, on Sunda’s west coast, I managed to spend a little time photographing the surroundings, especially the views from the top of the lighthouse at Anyer. Simply beautiful. There was a clear blue sea water and a great view looking over the villages and mountains. I felt so blessed that on the day of the shot we had such great sunshine, although the night before in Jakarta and on the way to the beaches we had had some very heavy rain. As soon as we reached there the rain stopped and it turned out to be a really great day. Here’s the photos from behind the scenes of the fashion shoot. Some were taken from the top of lighthouse.

Here are some detail about the lighthouse;

  • Anyer lighthouse was the second lighthouse built (in 1885) during Dutch colonisation. The first was destroyed when mount Krakatau erupted in 1883. The height of the lighthouse is 60 meters. Inside there are 268 stairs although you are not allowed to climb upstairs, with extra precautions as some of the flooring is worn out. Although it does not functioned as it used to, the lighthouse will always be the landmark of Anyer. This place is also the beginning of the Anyer Panarukan postal road, the first road in Indonesia (also built during the Dutch period).
