Exploring Bandung, West Java

It was a very relaxing weekend I had with all my family, expect my husband who was away.  We went to Bandung for a few days.  (Jakarta to Bandung is a two and a half hour drive.)  We also stopped in Cimahi to visit our relatives.  Even though Bandung’s traffic on the holiday was worse than Jakarta’s, we enjoyed the atmosphere and cool weather there.  What I like every time to go to Bandung are the culinary delights to be found there.  We usually try new restaurants and go to the newest factory outlets.  But not this time.  I don’t want to talk about food or the factory outlets.  Now i’d like to share some information (for those who don’t already know) about Lactasari mini farm that exists only in the Paris van Java mall.  It’s a very interesting place for those who have kids.  Beside from the dairy farm, they also have indoor ice skating and a bird park (it’s not a big one but big enough for kids to have fun with owls and to feed small birds).

At the outdoor Lactasari farm, kids can feed the cows, give carrots to rabbits and pat them. My daughter and her cousins enjoyed spending time here as much as I enjoyed my time in the mall. After accompanying us around the outlets they were now having fun.  Entry to the  bird park and dairy farm is Rp. 50.000 (about $ 5) and that includes a basket of veggies for the small animals and a bottle of milk for a goat or cow.  If you need more info about this place please go the website http://www.paris-van-java.com.
