Apologies for the late posting of this event. After I came back from Singapore I have not had any time to sit quietly and write. But now when the family are in the pool I’ll catch up with things any finish this article.
Firstly, my thanks to Mrs. Ferrial Hadi (the wife of the Indonesian Ambassador) who gave me the opportunity to cover the Auguste Soesastro fashion show; Auguste is a young and very talented designer from Indonesia – his collection was beautiful and stunning. I was also delighted to see many of the the Indonesian diplomats and their spouses (Dharma Wanita KBRI in Singapore), many of whom participated in this event selling Indonesian handcrafts. Indonesia fine jewellry designer Joyce Spiro also showed a unique silver collection. Being part of this event and seeing the enthusiasm of people for products from Indonesia made me proud. The profit from this event is to be donated to National Museum in Singapore and two non-profit organisations in Indonesia ; Sekolah Kami and Home (House of Mercy). Once again, congrats to Auguste and his team for making this event so beautiful and successful.
